About your appointment

 

For an appointment please call (07) 5541 1011. Walk-ins are also seen.

If you are a new patient, please print and fill in the New Patient Form before coming. Otherwise, you can come 5 minutes early to your appointment and we will provide the form for you to fill at the practice.

If you are intending to have an appointment longer than 30 minutes please advise the receptionist, so that we can book you in for a longer time.
Emergencies will always be seen as a priority.

Beaudesert General Practice is 100% BULK BILLING for all Medicare rebatable consultations.
If you are NOT registered with medicare, private fees are also payable at the time of consultation, for Medical examinations, Insurance report & after-hours visits to home or hospital.

Patients coming in for repeat prescriptions will be required to pay a $10 script fee for repeat prescriptions (only if approved by your GP and not Authority scripts)

Urgent Medical Attention and Triaging
Please note that all Emergencies will be attended to immediately and take priority before any other booked appointments. We assign a priority of order according to the urgency of our patients’ medical needs, this is known as triaging.

 

Returning Your Telephone Calls
If you request a reply to a query, you can expect a return call in a reasonably short amount of time depending on the urgency of the situation.

If your GP is unavailable to speak with you at the time of your call, they will either call you back or arrange for a nurse or receptionist to call you back on their behalf.

Please note; it is preferred that our patients attend for a consultation regarding their medical needs instead of discussing them over the phone.

 

House Calls
Home visits are accessible to our local patients during business hours, for those who are otherwise too unwell to attend in person and at the discretion of their GP.

Visits required after-hours can be made with your GP under the same conditions and by prior arrangement,

Test Results
It is Practice Policy that patients are to return for test results by making a follow-up appointment, this allows our doctors to give adequate medical care and the relevant information to you upon in person. On certain occasions, and at the discretion of your GP, they may make other arrangements with you such as asking you to call for your results;

Urgent Results: All patients with Urgent test results will be contacted for follow-up as soon as possible.
