Family reminders: keeping the whole household up to date

With the school year starting, it is a great time to double-check that everyone in the family is up to date with routine vaccinations and health assessments.

Children under 5

The National Immunisation Program covers a full schedule of vaccinations from 6 weeks to 4 years. Missed doses can usually be caught up — phone reception with your child's history and we will put together a plan.

Pregnancy

Whooping cough (pertussis) and flu vaccines are recommended in every pregnancy, ideally between 20 and 32 weeks. Both are bulk billed at our clinic.

Older adults

If you are 65 or over, you are eligible for the enhanced flu vaccine and a shingles vaccine at 65 or 70. COVID-19 boosters are also recommended every 6 to 12 months for older adults and those with chronic conditions.
